Health and Safety Overview
The American Red Cross is the area’s primary source for crisis prevention, preparation and response education. We offer a variety of health and safety courses that save lives or address a community need. Courses are offered in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Lenawee, Monroe and St. Clair Counties. The Red Cross also offers on-site training at the workplace to enhance job skills.

Aquatics
The American Red Cross is a leader in aquatic safety. Through authorized providers throughout southeast Michigan, more than 117,000 people have been Red Cross-trained in water safety including lifeguard and learn-to-swim courses. On-site emergency response and safety training is available. Training programs are designed to meet the unique needs of small and large businesses, manufacturing facilities, membership organizations and more. Safety products which aid families and businesses to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies are available for purchase.
