You can help people in times of crises, be part of making southeast Michigan safer and assist in collecting lifesaving blood by volunteering with the American Red Cross. The Southeastern Michigan Chapter alone touches the lives of 250,000 people in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties every year. You may even meet new friends!

The American Red Cross is a volunteer-driven organization. In southeast Michigan, more than 2,000 volunteers provide half-a-million hours of service to the Red Cross annually. The Red Cross is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors, and volunteers both lead and deliver many of the programs and services. We are continuously assembling a volunteer workforce that reflects the diverse community we serve.
More volunteers are always needed in our community. Every volunteer is vital to the Red Cross, and since all the training you will need is provided, no special skills are required. But if you have a special skill to share, we probably need it – so let us know!
