Youth Opportunities
Overview:
The American Red Cross engages over 169,000 youth annually in the following areas: education, training, volunteer and community service. Southeastern Michigan Chapter ensures that we are doing our part by offering unique and exciting opportunities to get youth involved throughout Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.
Youth are concerned about their communities and the world in which they live in, but they often feel that they cannot affect change. The purpose of the American Red Cross youth program is to train youth to become lifelong advocates of volunteerism as a quintessential part of a balanced life. In addition, to creating positive change within their communities and the world in which they live, exposing youth to the mission and the fundamental principles of the American Red Cross, enables them to help us meet the challenge while learning how to better manage their time, lead a group of people, and sustain professional working relationship.

The following are a few ways that Youth can be involved in the American Red Cross of Southeastern Michigan:
• Red Cross School Clubs
• Comfort Days Campaign
• Youth Service-A-Thon
• Blood Services
